Terms of Use

Last updated: August 31, 2026

Scope

These terms govern your use of the website at creation-game.com, operated by Creation Entertainment LLC (Texas, USA). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

They cover this website and nothing else. The game itself is governed by the End User License Agreement that comes with it; your purchase is governed by the storefront you bought it from; our Discord is governed by its own rules and by Discord's terms. How we handle data on this site is described in our Privacy Policy.

The short version

This is a free informational site. Read it, link to it, quote it. The code and configuration examples in our modding documentation are there to be used in your mods — take them. Don't attack the site or pretend to be us. Plans we describe here are plans, not promises. Nothing here is sold, and there's nothing to sign up for.

Using the site

We make the site available to you free of charge, for your own personal and informational use. There is no account to create and nothing to buy. We may change, move, or remove any part of the site at any time, and we may stop offering it altogether.

What you may not do

Please don't:

Our content

The text, design, images, and other material on this site belong to Creation Entertainment LLC or to whoever licensed it to us. Reading it, sharing a link to it, and quoting a reasonable amount of it with attribution — in a review, article, video, or forum post — are all fine and need no permission from us. Republishing a page wholesale as your own, or reusing our material as part of another product, is not. Ask us if you're unsure; we're friendly.

The modding documentation

Our modding documentation exists so that people can make things with it, and the surrounding paragraph is not meant to get in the way of that. The code snippets, configuration examples, and schema fragments in the documentation are free for you to use, adapt, and publish in your own mods, commercially or otherwise, with no attribution required and no permission needed.

That permission covers the examples themselves. What you may do with themods you build from them — and with the game's own content — is a separate question, answered by the game's End User License Agreement and by our mod policy, both of which ship with the game.

Press materials

Logos, key art, and screenshots offered on our press kitpage are free to use for coverage of the game — articles, videos, streams, and reviews. Please don't alter them, and please don't use them in a way that implies we're involved in something we aren't. For anything else, emailstudio@creation-game.com.

Our name and logo

"Creation" and the Creation logo are marks of Creation Entertainment LLC. You may use them to refer to the game — that's what names are for, and covering, reviewing, or discussing the game needs no permission. You may not use them as your own branding, in a way that suggests we endorse or operate something we don't, or in a domain name, product name, or store listing that could be mistaken for ours.

The contributor area

Part of this site is available only to contributors we've invited, and holds design material for a game that hasn't been released. If you've been given access: it's for your work with us, it isn't yours to republish or pass on, and we can withdraw it at any time. Don't share what you find there — including screenshots of it — without asking us first.

Links and other platforms

We link to Steam, Discord, and our social accounts. Once you follow one of those links you're on someone else's service, under their terms and their privacy policy, and what happens there is between you and them. A link from us is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.

Plans are plans, not promises

Creation is in active development. Our roadmap, dev blog, FAQ, and press materials describe what we intend and expect at the time we write it — and development being what it is, features get cut, reworked, renamed, and rescheduled. Nothing on this site is a commitment that any particular feature, platform, price, or date will happen. Please don't make a purchase decision on the strength of something we said we were planning.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available." We try to keep it accurate and online, but we don't promise that it will be either — content may be out of date or wrong, and the site may be unavailable. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Creation Entertainment LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising out of your use of this site. Some jurisdictions don't allow these exclusions, in which case they may not apply to you.

Copyright concerns

If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, emailstudio@creation-game.com with enough detail to identify the material and your claim, and we'll look into it promptly.

Changes to these terms

We'll update this page as the site and the game change. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be called out on thedev blog.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located in Texas are the venue for any dispute about them — to the extent applicable law permits.
