Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy covers the website at creation-game.com, operated by Creation Entertainment LLC (Texas, USA). It does not cover the Creation game client, multiplayer servers, or our Discord community — those run on separate systems, and we'll publish their handling separately as the game moves toward release. Third-party platforms we link to have their own policies, described below.

The short version

This is a static website. We don't run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, we don't set cookies for visitors, and we don't build profiles of who visits. Loading a page contacts no one but our host — even the fonts are served from our own servers. We don't sell or share personal information. There's no account to create and no form to fill in.

What we collect directly

Nothing. There are no forms, sign-ups, or comment fields on this site. The only information we ever receive from you directly is what you choose to put in an email if you write to us.

What our hosting provider collects

The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. Like effectively all web hosting, Azure records standard technical request data — including your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and your browser's user-agent string — for delivery, security, and abuse prevention. We use this only to keep the site running and secure. Microsoft's handling is governed by theMicrosoft Privacy Statement.

Third-party services on this site

None on a normal page view. Loading a page on this site makes no request to any third party. Our typeface is served from our own servers rather than from a font CDN, specifically so that reading this site doesn't disclose your IP address to anyone but us and our host.

Documentation search. The search box in ourmodding docs runs entirely in your browser using a pre-built index. Your search terms are not sent to us or to anyone else.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser for ordinary browsing. The one exception is our contributor documentation: signing in there (see below) sets an authentication cookie managed by Azure. That cookie is strictly necessary for sign-in and is not used for tracking.

Contributor sign-in

A private area of this site is available to invited contributors, who sign in with a Microsoft or GitHub account through Azure Static Web Apps. If you sign in, we receive an identifier and the email address associated with that account, solely to confirm you're on the access list. This applies only to invited contributors — ordinary visitors never encounter it.

Email

If you email support@creation-game.comor studio@creation-game.com, we receive your address and whatever you write. We use it to reply and to keep a record of the conversation, and we don't add you to any mailing list from it.

Links to other sites

We link out to Steam, Discord, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, and X. Once you follow one of those links you're on their service, under their privacy policy and terms — not ours. We'd encourage reading them, particularly Discord's if you join the community server.

Children

This website isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the UK and EU, or the CCPA in California — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Because this site collects so little, in most cases the only data connected to you is an email you sent us. Write tosupport@creation-game.com and we'll honor any such request we're able to verify.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page as the site changes — and it will change as the game approaches release. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be called out on the dev blog.
